Gloss Black Gold - Jet Black Lens Polarized - Castaway is Detour’s retro classic done the comfortable way—lightweight, easy to wear, and built to cut glare when the sun is doing the most. If you love the vintage vibe but hate heavy frames that start digging into your nose, this Castaway is designed to stay on your face all day without leaving indents.
Castaway took about a year to develop, and the result is a vintage retro look rolled into a modern, affordable bundle. You get tons of gold details paired with a high quality TR90 frame, keeping the style premium without making the frame feel bulky. For the lens, Detour skips the common heavy (and crack prone) glass and uses a lightweight TAC polarized lens instead—so you still get polarized clarity in a lighter, stronger setup.
For everyday eye protection, the lenses are UV400 Protective to help protect your eyes from UV rays. They’re also impact resistant and FDA approved to help protect your eyes from flying objects. Comfort details matter too: the nose pads are made of a super soft, high quality silicone, helping the frame sit comfortably during long wear.
Each pair includes a Detour pouch to help keep your shades protected between wears. And if life happens, your shades are covered for 6 months—break them within that period and Detour will repair or replace them (scratched lenses aren’t covered; warranty replacement is limited to once per pair). Your shades are covered for 6 months! If life throws you a curve ball and you break them within this period just send them back and we will get them repaired or replaced, no questions asked!
Scratched lenses are not covered. Limit to amount of times you can claim a warranty replacement is once per pair.
